Why I Might Watch The Emmys

I really don't like award shows. I like to know the outcomes, but I really cannot sit through a viewing of them. However, with Ellen hosting the Emmys, I might actually tune in. I mean really, she can do no wrong in my eyes.

Power Rangers Really Do Kick Ass

This former Power Ranger is on trial along with his wife for killing a prominent California couple. I always knew those were some badasses on that show. I bet he was the White Ranger. The long hair is always the tell-tale sign.

In all seriousness though, after reading the article, the deaths were very tragic. If the Power Ranger is responsible, hopefully prison will serve him well. I mean, think about how horrible prison is, and then think about how much worse it would be for a Power Ranger.

Why I Won't Be Skydiving

I think that with all the boudaries being pushed today, skydiving actually doesn't seem like that big of a deal... until something like this happens and reminds you how dangerous it can be. Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone who really wants to do it should just sit at home on their ass because of some accident that befell someone else, but it would really make me think twice about jumping.

Me? Bitch? Yes, But Not Too Much

I don't think these online quizzes have any merit whatsoever, but this one actually seems to fit me pretty well, I think. Maybe those of you who know me don't agree. Who knows?

I am 39% Asshole/Bitch.
Part Time Asshole/Bitch.
I may think I am an asshole or a bitch, but the truth is I am a good person at heart. Yeah sure, I can have a mean streak in me, but most of the people I meet like me.

Top 50 List

Here's a cool list of the top 50 websites of 2005 by Time magazine. There are obviously a lot of things on the list that I've never heard of or used, so I will have to check them out (especially The Complete Review) but a couple I have heard of, and do use. Especially Orisinal (which I have now added to my links). They really do have the best computer games if you don't really want to actually concentrate on what you are doing. The games are really cute and have the best music, but none of them allow you to pause, which is a downside. My favs on Orisinal are Floats, Cranky Crabs (sounds dirty...lol), and the very best is Friends. Check them out (and all the other sites on the list).

Possibly Interesting Reads

I don't read books about purely historical circumstances very often (although I do enjoy a good historical fiction) but these books sound interesting at least. Maybe I'll pick one or two of them up in the near future.

Oh Keanu

I don't really like Keanu Reeves that much. He's a horrible actor, and I don't really think he's that attractive, however, I find it funny that he can say "Dude, whoa" in his surferesque voice and people will listen to him (bottom of the page on the link).

Congrats To The Girl Next Door

I'm happy that Sandra Bullock has gotten married. I like it when the A-list celebrities have romances with non-A-listers. It feels like the relative unknowns win one for the rest of us. Not that Jesse James is anybody that I particularly want on my team. Too many tattoos. I'm shallow.

On a side note, at first I was curious as to why William Shatner attended the wedding. I mean, what has he done lately that ties him to either of these two? Oh yeah.

Lauryn! You're Alive!

I'm so happy to see that Lauryn Hill is back on the music scene! I saw somewhere that she was performing in one of the Live 8 concerts, but I thought maybe that was just a fluke. However, despite my joy of her return, I am a little wary. She sounded like she was traveling a little bit into the sides of crazy and bitter, or just crazy bitter, in that article. Whatever though. It's still Lauryn Hill.

You Hang In There Buddy

Rehnquist, you just stay on that Supreme Court bench as long as you can. Nevermind the fact that you're battling thyroid caner or the fact that you're 80 years old and looking a bit rough. Just hang around until about 2008 so a different President can appoint your replacement. Is that too much to ask?

Edit:
Nevermind Rehnquist. You are sick and tired and super old. So you should step down, and O'Connor should step back in. What was that old bird thinking? She was just getting warmed up.

They Said Cornpone

Cornpone? Please, never again. The fact that that word was in the first paragraph of this article is not really the reason I'm posting about it. One of the characters from the original "Dukes of Hazzard" is apparently very angry about the new movie version trashing up the legacy of the show. Right. Because the first one was just a treasure to American society. Heaven forbid they ruin the reputation of that gift to television.

I'll go along with him though, that you shouldn't waste your money on it. I dislike just about everyone in this movie. Jessica Simpson? No thanks. Johnny Knoxville? Double no thanks. Sean Williams Scott? You look and act like a stupid weasel, so even more than the first two, whom I mostly dislike due to sheer stupidity, no thanks.

Waiter Rant- Very Informative/Entertaining

This waiter rant was informative, I suppose, if you're socially awkward and don't really know how to behave in restaurants. I found it pretty entertaining, mostly because I like to imagine people actually doing these things, with the waiter hovering over them impatiently, trying to hide his anger. Anyway, I recommend checking it out. Haha, checking it out. Get it. Nevermind. Sorry.

I'm Back

After a longer than expected break from the blogging, I've decided to return. Don't ask me why it's been so long, because I really don't know. I sure wasn't very busy, being that it's summer. Guess I just didn't feel like it. I'm sure you were heartbroken, but you'll get over it, I promise.
